Read these notes before updating. Your settings may reset to defaults or change, so save them and take screenshots of all setup and calibration data, including input and output assignments and invert status. See Save & Load Settings.
WARNING
Updating from version 4 or earlier:
All tool data on the F4 screen is erased. Re-enter it before using the machine.
The mill linear tool changer uses new logic. Reassign all its inputs and outputs and enter its calibration data in the F1 tool changer settings before using the machine.
Updating from 5.00 or 5.01 does not need these steps.
How to update

Back up your machine settings, and save and print the printable settings file so you can check settings afterwards.

Copy the software file into the MASSO folder on your USB flash drive.

Power-cycle MASSO and open the software load screen: on MASSO G3 Touch, tap the screen during start-up; on MASSO G3, press F1 on the keyboard.

Select the new version and press Enter. The update takes about 45 seconds.

Press Esc to leave the load screen.

Compare your settings with the printed file and correct anything that changed.

NEWSpindle and coolant stop on feed hold
A new option in Main Spindle Settings. When on, the spindle and coolant turn off when you press Feed Hold and restart when you press Cycle Start.
