INFORMATION: Please read these release notes carefully before updating.

CAUTION: Sherline users with PID spindle control must not use this version. Please remain on version 5.03.

INFORMATION: Before updating, make a backup of your current settings.

CAUTION: Before updating, save a copy of your Printable File. Print this file and use it to check your settings after the update is complete to ensure all settings are correct.

INFORMATION: This version is compatible only with MASSO Link v2.12. Older versions of MASSO Link will not work.

CAUTION: If updating from version 4 software or earlier: All tool data in the F4 screen will be erased. You must manually re-enter all tool data in the F4 screen before operating the machine.

CAUTION: When updating from version 4 software or earlier, the new Mill Linear Tool Changer logic requires: all related inputs and outputs to be reassigned, all calibration data to be re-entered in the F1 screen. The machine must not be used until this is completed.

Update Process

Make a Backup of your machine settings
Save and print a copy of your Printable File for checking settings after the update.
Copy the software file to your flash drive inside the MASSO folder.
Repower your MASSO controller and access the software load screen:
• MASSO Touch: Tap the screen during startup
• MASSO G3: Press F1 on the external keyboard
Select the new software version and press Enter.
Wait for the update to complete (approximately 45 seconds).
Press Escape to exit the software load screen.
Use your Printable File to check and correct settings if required.
