By default, both the Admin and User passwords are set to “HTG” (capital letters).

INFORMATION: When the controller is powerd up, Caps Key is enabled by default, as of v3.49 for G2 and v4.00 for G3 Caps key is not enabled.

INFORMATION: To lock MASSO and prevent unauthorised use, press CTRL + L. You will be prompted to re-enter the User and Admin passwords.

Changing the User or Admin Password

Click Change Password on the login screen.
Enter the current password and press Enter
(default password is HTG).
Enter a new password (up to 5 characters).
Passwords are case sensitive.
Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password field.
Click OK.

Removing the User Login

To remove the User login:

The next time MASSO starts, the User password prompt will not appear.

The Admin login cannot be removed.
You may set the Admin password to blank, but the login screen will still appear.
To log in with a blank Admin password:
- Select the password field
- Press Enter

If you forget or lose your passwords, you must download either the Password Reset or Password Display file for your MASSO controller.

These files are available from the myWorkshop portal.

CAUTION: Before resetting passwords, make sure you also have a copy of your current MASSO software (Mill, Plasma, or Lathe).

Log in to myWorkshop.
Download:
- Password Display software
- The MASSO software version currently running on your controller

Copy both files to the MASSO directory on your flash drive.
Restart MASSO and repeatedly press F1 (or tap the screen on MASSO Touch) until the software load screen appears.
Select Password Display Software v1.02 and install it.
Press ESC once installation is complete.
Your User and Admin passwords will be displayed on screen.
Write these down.
Restart MASSO, press F1 again, and reinstall your normal MASSO software.
Press ESC once installation is complete.
MASSO will start and you can log in using the recovered passwords.

Copy the Password Reset software to the root directory of your flash drive.
Restart MASSO.
The reset software will load automatically.
Wait for the process to complete.
This resets both passwords to the default HTG.
Copy the MASSO software files to the root directory of the flash drive.
Restart MASSO again and allow the software to load.
You can now log in using the default password HTG.

INFORMATION: Resetting passwords does not change any MASSO configuration settings.
