Auto Loading G-code

MASSO can automatically load G-code files for special production runs.

The following methods explain how G-code files can be loaded automatically without manual file selection.

Automatically Loading a G-code File on Power-Up or USB Connection

This method loads a G-code file automatically when MASSO powers on or when a USB flash drive is inserted.

Setup Steps

  1. Go to the F1 – Setup screen.

  2. Open the General Settings window.

  3. Enable Load ‘autoload.nc’ on power up.

  4. Click Save.

When MASSO powers up or detects a USB flash drive, it will search for a file named autoload.nc.

If the file is found, it will be loaded automatically. Pressing Cycle Start will begin the job.

INFORMATION: The file autoload.nc must be located in the root directory of the USB flash drive.

Automatically Loading a G-code File Using an Input Signal

This method loads a G-code file when a configured input changes to a HIGH state.

Setup Steps

  1. Go to the F1 – Setup screen.

  2. Open the Inputs list.

  3. Select an unused input.

  4. Assign the function Autoload GCode-1 Input to the selected input.

When the input goes HIGH for 1 second, MASSO will search for a file named autoload1.nc on the USB flash drive.

If the file is found, it will be loaded automatically. Pressing Cycle Start will begin the job.

A common use for this feature is running a spindle warm-up routine immediately after powering on the machine.

INFORMATION: You can assign up to 6 autoload functions on inputs.

INFORMATION: The autoload files must be in root folder of the USB pen drive.
