Profile Cut Wizard





Name

  • This is what you give to describe your wizard and it will be displayed on the F5 conversational page



Tool No

  • This is the tool number you will be using to machine the part.



Tool Diameter

  • This is the diameter of the tool that will be used for this wizard



Spindle RPM

  • The spindle speed required



Cutting feedrate

  • The X & Y axis feed rate used for facing the material



Z Feedrate

  • The feed rate used for the Z axis moves



Z Clearance

  • The eight above the material that the Z axis uses when moving between cuts.



Depth of Cut

  • The depth of cut used per pass.
  • The number of passes used will depend on the difference in height between Z Start and Z End divided by the depth of cut.



X Start

X End

  • The X axis Working coordinate where the machining will stop machining
  • The tool will be offset inward from this point by the radius of the cutter



Profile X Start



Profile X End

  • The X axis Working coordinate where the Profile will be located and this area will not be machined.
  • The tool will be offset outward from this point by the radius of the cutter



Y Start

Y End

  • The Y axis Working coordinate where the machining will stop machining
  • The tool will be offset inward from this point by the radius of the cutter



Profile Y Start




Profile Y End

  • The X axis Working coordinate where the Profile will be located and this area will not be machined.
  • The tool will be offset outward from this point by the radius of the cutter



Z Start

Z End

  • The QR code brings you to this page



Save

  • This saves the changes to the wizard and returns you to the F5 conversational page.
  • If there are missing parameters or incorrect incorrect eg no tool number specified
  • It will specify the nature of the error and highlight the parameters that are causing the issue.



Cancel

  • The cancels any changes made to the wizard and returns you to the F5 conversational page.



Tab

  • For MASSO G3 users using an external keyboard the Tab key will step through the parameters one at a time reducing the need to use a mouse.
