MDI command

The MDI window is used to manually run G-code commands.

It can be opened from the F2 – Program & MDI screen by pressing CTRL + M or by clicking the MDI button located at the bottom left of the screen.

Using the MDI Window

The MDI window allows you to:

  • Run individual G-code commands

  • Control configured outputs

  • Move the machine to the home position using on-screen buttons

Touch Screen vs External Keyboard Behaviour

When using the touch screen keyboard, the Enter button is disabled.

The Run button in the MDI window must be used to execute G-code commands. This prevents accidental command execution, as the Enter and Delete keys are positioned next to each other on the on-screen keyboard.

When using an external keyboard, pressing the Enter key will execute the G-code command.

MDI Command History (MASSO G3)

On MASSO G3, the Up and Down arrow keys can be used to scroll through previously entered MDI commands.

The last 20 MDI commands are stored in memory and can be selected and executed again.
