MASSO Touch V3.09 board

The V3.09 main board uses replaceable plug-in modules, making troubleshooting and repair easier by allowing individual modules to be swapped instead of replacing the entire board.

This board is available with MASSO Touch only.

WARNING: All boards are static sensitive and must be handled using standard ESD practices. For ESD handling information, see:

Plug-in Module Types

TTL Drive Output Board

  • 6 TTL outputs per board

  • Capable of sourcing 5 V @ 5 mA

  • Capable of sinking 5 mA

  • Do not exceed 5 V input voltage

Analogue Output Board

  • Provides 0–10 V spindle control signal

Differential Driver Output Board

  • Dual-axis driver board used for machine axes

Provision has been made for an RS485 driver board for future development, however this module is not currently available.

Installation and Handling Notes

  • Each slot is labelled with the type of plug-in module it accepts
  • The board type is printed on each module

  • Boards must be installed the correct way around

  • Power must be OFF before inserting or removing any plug-in modules

  • Modules of the same type may be swapped for troubleshooting

  • Ensure the correct board type is installed in the correct slot

Looking from left to right, the first four plug-in modules are TTL output modules.

The next module provides the 0–10 V spindle control signal.

The final three modules on the right-hand side provide the axis outputs for X, Y, Z, A and B.

Note that the centre axis board uses only one output, with the second output unused. If either the Y or B axis is damaged, this board can be swapped with the Z axis board to restore operation.

INFORMATION: For troubleshooting purposes plugin modules of the same type can be swapped with one another.

INFORMATION: Please contact MASSO support regards replacement modules.
