Spindle Control Method
Select the control method that suits your spindle:
| VFD | 0-10 V speed control, and also for simple on/off spindles such as a router or laminate trimmer. |
| PWM | For H-bridge DC motor drivers. |
| STEP/DIR | For a stepper or servo motor used as a spindle. The spindle step and direction outputs are single-ended, so drives that need differential step and direction signals cannot be used. |
Spindle Auto Stop/Resume on Feed Hold

| Ticked | The spindle stops automatically when Feed Hold is pressed, and restarts automatically when Cycle Start is pressed to resume. |
| Unticked | Feed Hold does not stop the spindle; stop it manually if needed. Cycle Start does not restart it, so start the spindle again before pressing Cycle Start. |
Encoder (Pulses per Revolution)

The number of pulses per revolution from your spindle encoder. The encoder is used to show the actual spindle speed and for threading. With no encoder fitted, set this to 0 and MASSO shows the commanded spindle speed.
