Tool 118 is a camera mounted on the Z axis for aligning X and Y. It works with a camera and an external screen – MASSO controls the camera light, but the image isn't shown on the MASSO screen.

1. How it works

Run T118 M06 in MDI, and include it in your G-code so the correct screen is selected when the program runs. Move the camera to the target, using Z to focus, then view the target on the external screen and read or zero the axis coordinates as needed.

2. Camera light output

Assign the camera light to a TTL output. It can also power the camera, if the camera supports it.

3. Multi-Head settings

Enter the camera's X and Y offsets from the machine's main reference tool – usually the main spindle, plasma head or waterjet head.
