Introduction

INFORMATION: Multi-Head functionality for the MASSO G3 and G3 Touch is available in software version 5.0 or higher.

What is Multi-Head

Multi-Head refers to a series of attachments that connect to the head of your CNC machine.

Each head has:

  • A dedicated tool number

  • Its own work offset coordinates from the main spindle

All heads are mounted to a common Z-axis and are moved into position using the Up/Down signal for that head unit.

In most machines, this movement is done using a pneumatic cylinder.

INFORMATION: Multi-Head is not designed for machines with individual Z-axis drives for each head.
