Chuck Clamp

WARNING: For safety, an output LOW means the clamp is closed. An interlock signal from the spindle drive must be wired to ensure that the clamp does not open while the spindle or chuck is rotating. The chuck clamp logic must not be inverted.

The chuck clamp can be opened and closed from the MDI screen using the and the buttons.

An external Chuck Clamp/Unclamp input can be assigned to toggle the chuck clamp open and closed as required.

These controls are interlocked with the spindle status:

  • The chuck cannot be opened while the spindle is running
  • The spindle cannot start while the chuck clamp is open
