Mounting and Triggering Mechanism
Mount the sensor in a location where it will not be damaged during machine operation.
The sensor must be positioned so that it is triggered when the homing position is reached using a metal or suitable trigger plate attached to the machine.
The sensor operates by emitting infrared light from one side to the receiving side. When an object interrupts this beam, the output signal changes.
Ensure that the sensor is not exposed to external infrared sources such as direct sunlight, as this may cause false triggering.
The trigger plate must pass between the forks of the sensor.

Powering Your Homing Sensors
Power for homing sensors on MASSO G3 or MASSO G3 Touch can be supplied from:
- The MASSO power supply distribution point
- A separate power supply that shares a common ground (negative rail) with MASSO
- The auxiliary power terminals on MASSO (red and black terminals between input and output terminals)
