The Multi-Station Turret outputs the turret tool position as signals going HIGH, representing the tool currently in position.
Each tool position has its own output, which connects to an input on MASSO.
Setting up the Tool Changer

Go to F1-Setup screen
Open Tool Changer window.
From the list select Press enter to open Tool Changer list and select the the Multi Station Turret from the list.
To configure the tool changer parameters, double-click the tool changer name.

Tool Changer Logic
When a tool change is requested:
- MASSO sets Tool Changer - Output 1 HIGH.
This rotates the turret clockwise until the selected tool is in position. - Once the tool is in position:
- Output 1 goes LOW
- Tool Changer - Output 2 goes HIGH
- Output 2 rotates the turret counter-clockwise for 400 ms.
This locks the tool in position.
Syntax
The following syntax is used for Tool Changer inputs and outputs:
- “Tool Changer - Output 1” means Tool Changer - 1 and it is an output
- “Tool Changer - Input 1” means Tool Changer - 1 and it is an input
Note: Any tool changer input or output can be assigned to any Input or Output on MASSO. The tool changer number does not refer to a physical input or output port.

Input Signals
- Connect turret position outputs P1 to P12 to available MASSO inputs
- Assign them in the INPUTS list as:
- Tool Changer - Input 1 to Tool Changer - Input 12
MASSO automatically determines the number of tools based on how many Tool Changer inputs are assigned.
Output Signals
Connect turret control signals to MASSO outputs:
- CW signal - Tool Changer - Output 1
- CCW signal - Tool Changer - Output 2
