Tool Tray
Syntax
The following syntax is used for Tool Changer inputs and outputs:
- “Tool Changer - Output 4” means Tool Changer - 4 and it is an output
- “Tool Changer - Input 4” means Tool Changer - 4 and it is an input
Note: Any tool changer input or output can be assigned to any Input or Output on MASSO.
The tool changer number does not refer to a physical input or output port.
Inputs
- Tool Changer - Input 4 – Tools Tray UP OK signal
- Tool Changer - Input 5 – Tools Tray DOWN OK signal
Outputs
- Tool Changer - Output 4 – Move Tools Tray UP
- Tool Changer - Output 5 – Move Tools Tray DOWN
Tool Tray Logic – Type 1
This logic uses a single output to move the tray up and down (or slide in and out).
Do not assign “Tool Changer - Input 5” when using a single output for tray UP/DOWN.
Tray Up
- "Tool Changer - Output 4" goes HIGH to move the Tools Tray UP
- The system waits up to 6 seconds for "Tool Changer - Input 4" (Tools Tray UP OK) to go HIGH
- If not detected, an error is generated
Tray Down
- "Tool Changer - Output 4" goes LOW to move the Tools Tray DOWN
- The system waits up to 6 seconds for "Tool Changer - Input 4" (Tools Tray UP OK) to go LOW
- If not detected, an error is generated
Tool Tray Logic – Type 2
This logic uses two outputs to move the tray up and down (or slide in and out).
- Outputs are only active while the tray is moving
- Requires both Tool Changer - Input 4 and Input 5
Tray Up
- "Tool Changer - Output 4" goes HIGH to move the Tools Tray UP
- The system waits up to 6 seconds for "Tool Changer - Input 4" (Tools Tray UP OK) to go HIGH
- If not detected, an error is generated
- Output 4 then goes LOW
Tray Down
- "Tool Changer - Output 5" goes HIGH to move the Tools Tray DOWN
- The system waits up to 6 seconds for "Tool Changer - Input 5" (Tools Tray DOWN OK) to go HIGH
- If not detected, an error is generated
- Output 5 then goes LOW
