Homing Settings

The Homing Settings screen allows you to configure how and when MASSO performs machine homing.

SEQ 1–5 (Homing Sequence)

This setting defines the order in which axes are homed.

  • Axes assigned to the same sequence are homed simultaneously.

  • Sequences run in numerical order (SEQ 1 ? SEQ 5).

  • Slaved axes are shown in grey and cannot be selected.

For more details, see: Homing

Direction Invert

This option changes the direction an axis moves while searching for its homing sensor.

Use this if an axis moves away from the sensor instead of towards it.

For more details, see: Homing

Homing Feedrate

This setting controls how fast an axis moves while seeking the homing sensor.

Set a speed that is safe and reliable for your machine.

For more details, see: Homing

Pull-Off Distance

The pull-off distance defines how far the axis moves away from the homing sensor after it is triggered.

This ensures the sensor is released once homing is complete.

For more details, see: Homing

Home Position

This setting defines the machine coordinate assigned to the final axis position after homing is complete.

For more details, see: Homing

Request Home on Startup

When enabled, MASSO will require homing after power-up before machining can begin.

  • This option is strongly recommended.

  • If left unticked, the Home option will not appear on the F2 or F3 screen after startup.

Request Home After E-Stop Press

When enabled, the machine will be forced to re-home after the E-Stop is pressed.

  • Pressing the E-Stop usually causes a loss of position.

  • It is recommended to keep this option enabled.
